Appleton Memorial Park Engagement Session – Carl & Katie

We had the perfect late spring evening for Katie & Carl’s engagement session. The setting was was golden, many flowers were in full bloom, and Katie and Carl made my job so easy. I got to know Katie back when we were both in youth group together and it was so special to reconnect when she and Carl got engaged and she started looking for a wedding photographer. Katie is such a sweetheart and I knew would be a joy to work with and I was excited to hear how their love story started.

Katie and Carl met back when they were both working at Culver’s, (another fun point of connection as I worked at Culver’s in high school). Katie said she noticed Carl right away but knew it wasn’t the right timing yet so she didn’t do anything and just waited on God. Carl and Katie reconnected after they were no longer working together; Carl found excuses to keep seeing Katie and eventually he asked her out on their first date. Carl patiently postponed his plans to propose, twice, waiting for just the right time, asking Katie to be his wife on June 2nd, 2018 at the park by the lake. After nearly two years of engagement I am so very excited to photograph their wedding this spring! You two are such a sweet and kind couple and I’m looking forward to seeing what a great team you guys make!
